This skateboard was created in collaboration with the entire Wounded Warrior Project Puerto Rico North Peer Support Group (PSG) to represent the more than 3,000 Puerto Rican veterans and registered family support members who are honored and empowered by Wounded Warrior Project (WWP).
They’re warriors helping warriors , and together, they engage in an open forum where they can talk about improving their lives by taking care of their mental and physical health. Thanks to WWP Power of Connection, we are not alone!

Veterans Representing All U.S. Military Branches
The island of Puerto Rico’s political relationship with the United States has been a determining factor in the military history of both countries. Puerto Ricans fought for the U.S. in WW I, WW II, the Korean War, Vietnam, the Persian Gulf, Iraq, Afghanistan, and other armed conflicts post 9/11. Anytime they’ve participated, Puerto Ricans have stood out for their heroism and sacrifice, promoting the ideals of freedom and democracy to all parts of the world.
Despite our long history of serving, Puerto Rican veterans often feel forgotten, so we felt it was appropriate to write “I served my country, what did you do.” The design also features Castillo San Felipe del Morro in Old San Juan, a structure that has protected and defended the island since 1539.
